HOTEL CAROLINA RETURNS TO PHILADELPHIA IN MAY

Ultimate Singer-Songwriter Event Set To Introduce “New Faces”

Rock Ridge Music, the host of the successful annual singer-songwriter weekend festival known as Hotel Carolina, has announced the return of Hotel Carolina: Philadelphia, which is scheduled to take place on May 16, 2013.  Like the original South Carolina event (which has annually taken over The Windjammer on Isle of Palms for the past four years in late summer) and the new event in St. Pete Beach, FL (which took place for the first time in February of this year), Hotel Carolina: Philadelphia highlights the best in touring singer-songwriters.  The event in May returns to the Grape Room and this year’s focus is on “new faces” in the Hotel Carolina world with one night of acoustic music.  The evening begins at 8 p.m. and features:

Ike Reilly (www.ikereilly.net)

Aaron and The Spell (https://aaronandthespell.bandpage.com/)

JD Eicher & The Goodnights (http://www.jdeicherandthegoodnights.com/)

Runaway Dorothy (http://runawaydorothy.com/)

Says Rock Ridge Music President/GM Cynthia Cochrane about the Philly event:  “We are excited to launch the ‘New Faces’ series in Philadelphia with four extremely talented artists.  While some are new to Rock Ridge Music, and all are new to Hotel Carolina, we believe they each uniquely represent what the HC brand stands for—the best singers and songwriters out there.   As our events continue to evolve, we are more committed than ever to providing singular, intimate opportunities for fans to discover new music and interact with their favorite artists.”

Tickets for Hotel Carolina: Philadelphia are $20 and are on sale now (please visit  www.welcometothehotelcarolina.com for tickets and more information).  Hotel Carolina is open to fans 21 years of age or older.

The flagship Isle of Palms, SC event at the Windjammer will take place September 19-21, 2013.  Hotel Carolina events are a dream come true for lovers of singer-songwriter music of all types:  fans get to see all of their favorites on one stage over the course of each event.  Fans can follow Hotel Carolina on Twitter (www.twitter.com/HotelCarolina) and on Facebook (www.facebook.com/HotelCarolina). Hotel Carolina also has a YouTube channel (www.youtube.com/thehotelcarolina), where performances from past events have been posted and where artists post greetings and video messages leading up to the actual events.
