Nashville based singer\/songwriter Callaghan has just released the video for \u201cCrazy Beautiful Life, the first single from her second album,\u00a0A History of Now<\/i>.\u00a0 The video can be viewed here:\u00a0 \u201cCrazy Beautiful Life<\/a>.\u201d\u00a0 \u201cCrazy Beautiful Life\u201d goes for adds at Triple A radio in the U.S. on April 6th.\u00a0\u00a0 Her first U.K. single from the album, \u201cBest Year 2015,\u201d is currently in rotation on BBC Radio 2 there.\u00a0\u00a0Billboard\u00a0<\/i>has thrown its support behind the release with an\u00a0online feature<\/a>\u00a0about the new album and Callaghan\u2019s upcoming epic house concert tour.<\/p>\n

Callaghan is currently on tour promoting\u00a0A History of Now<\/i>, which will be released on April 7, 2015, via her own label, Green Town Music.\u00a0 Featuring Callaghan\u2019s trademark acoustic pop sound, which blurs the edges between pop, adult contemporary and Americana, the new record is the latest chapter of a success story based on hard work and a strong connection with a growing army of fans for the artist who moved to the U.S. from London in the summer of 2010.\u00a0\u00a0No Depression<\/i>\u00a0has dubbed her \u201cnothing short of stunning,\u201d while BBC Radio 2 presenter Bob Harris called Callaghan \u201ca wonderful artist\u2026 hugely talented.\u201d<\/p>\n

In addition to planned shows at regular venues, Callaghan will be hitting the road in May and June for her third annual house concert tour.\u00a0 This year\u2019s tour is billed as \u201cCallaghan Across America: All Four Corners,\u201d and will travel from Tampa to New York, across to Seattle, down to San Diego and back to Nashville.\u00a0 (See tour schedule below for all confirmed dates.)\u00a0 Her very first house show tour \u2014 which stretched from coast-to-coast in 2013 \u2014\u00a0earned Callaghan\u00a0a four-page spread<\/a>\u00a0in\u00a0Billboard Magazine<\/i>. The magazine credited her with \u201chelping reshape the business of touring, if not music consumption entirely,\u201d and praised her for her strong vocals and do-it-yourself work ethic.<\/p>\n

A History of Now<\/i>\u00a0was recorded in Nashville with producer Dennis Matkosky (a songwriting legend whose credits include Keith Urban\u2019s \u201cYou\u2019ll Think of Me\u201d and the Flashdance soundtrack\u2019s \u201cManiac,\u201d as well as several co-writes on the Callaghan album) and features contributions from some of Nashville\u2019s best session players as well as loops from Owl City member Casey Brown, adding a modern edge to the album\u2019s analog vibe. Callaghan recently inked a publishing deal with Matkosky\u2019s Kompass Publishing, which is affiliated with Kobalt Music.<\/p>\n

Since moving to the U.S. to record her debut album,\u00a0Life in Full Colour<\/i>, with Atlanta singer-songwriter Shawn Mullins (who says Callaghan has \u201ca voice the whole world needs to hear\u201d), Callaghan has enjoyed four years of touring, recording and growing appreciation in the U.S. She\u2019s transformed from a burgeoning indie songwriter to a full-fledged headliner who\u2019s toured across 46 states, played the Cayamo Cruise, shared the stage with artists such as Mullins, Jake Shimabukuro, Ed Kowalczyk and more, headlined at packed venues around the country, and logged more than 50,000 highway miles per year.\u00a0 Now that she has enjoyed success in the U.S., Callaghan is also focusing her promotion and touring efforts across the pond in 2015.\u00a0She was recently featured in the BBC TV documentary \u201cBob Harris: My Nashville\u201d and will tour the UK later this month.<\/p>\n
