LOS ANGELES, CA, September 25, 2012<\/strong>—<\/strong> Maroon 5\u00a0<\/strong>frontman and\u00a0The <\/em><\/strong>Voice\u00a0<\/em><\/strong>coach\u00a0Adam Levine<\/strong>\u00a0announced today that\u00a0The Voice <\/em><\/strong>finalist and \u201cTeam Adam\u201d member Tony Lucca<\/strong>\u00a0has signed to\u00a0222 Records<\/strong>. Tony is set to release his album next year, joining label mates Matthew Morrison<\/strong>, Diego Boneta <\/strong>and Rozzi Crane<\/strong> who also have upcoming projects on 222\u2019s <\/strong>record release schedule.<\/p>\n

Earlier this year, Tony Lucca captured America\u2019s hearts on The Voice. <\/em><\/strong>Lucca\u2019s cover of Hugo\u2019s version of Jay-Z\u2019s \u201c99 Problems\u201d<\/strong> reacted strongly, propelling Lucca to the #3<\/strong> spot on iTunes<\/em><\/strong> Overall Singles sales chart and #1<\/strong> on iTunes<\/em><\/strong> Rock Singles chart. Additionally, Lucca\u2019s duet of \u201cYesterday\u201d<\/strong> by The Beatles with coach Adam Levine landed Top 5 on iTunes Overall and Pop Singles sales charts. \u00a0In 2011, Tony Lucca appeared as himself on NBC\u2019s Parenthood<\/em><\/strong> performing his song \u201cLike Love.\u201d<\/strong> \u00a0Lucca was also tapped to appear in friend Justin Timberlake\u2019s 901 tequila commercial spot. \u00a0His songs have been featured on TV\u2019s Friday Night Lights,<\/em><\/strong> Brothers & Sisters,<\/em><\/strong> Shark,<\/em><\/strong> and Felicity<\/em><\/strong> and in Kevin Costner\u2019s feature Open Range.<\/em><\/strong> He has been seen on E! Entertainment Television and A&E, and performed numerous times on NBC\u2019s Last Call With Carson Daly.<\/em><\/strong> \u00a0Over the course of his career, Lucca has shared stages with *NSYNC, Marc Anthony, Macy Gray, Johnny Lang, the late Chris Whitley, Sara Bareilles, and Tyrone Wells. \u00a0Lucca has also completed several cooperative tours with Jay Nash and Matt Duke, also known as TFDI.<\/p>\n

Levine\u2019s announcement comes on the heels of the premiere of the third season of The Voice<\/em><\/strong>, which debuted in September to record #s and rave reviews. Levine, along with music coaches Christina Aguilera, Cee-Lo Green and Blake Shelton, joined the #1<\/strong> NBC hit series The Voice<\/em><\/strong> as a coach in 2011\u2014and the show has dominated ratings ever since.<\/p>\n
