Los Angeles-based singer-songwriter-pianist Maggie McClure just had one of her songs, \u201cReset,\u201d featured on the TBS comedy \u201cCougar Town\u201d during the episode (entitled “Hard On Me”) which aired Tuesday, February 4th. \u201cReset\u201d is the opening track from McClure\u2019s forthcoming album, Time Moves On<\/em>, which is set for release on February 11, 2014, on her own label.\u00a0 A majestic and atmospheric album of her most intimate songwriting, Time Moves On<\/em> was produced by Justin Glasco (Dan Wilson, Tyler Hilton, Gary Jules, Margaret Cho, Adrianne Gonzalez, Garrison Starr and Cary Brothers).<\/p>\n

<\/div>\n

\u201cMy songs are basically excerpts from my journal edited to fit the music,\u201d Maggie says. \u201cI write songs straight from my soul.\u201d \u00a0The stately \u201cReset\u201d patiently unfolds with subtle power; mixing sweetly mournful textures with sublime hooks. Its feel is melancholy but tenderly hopeful\u2014it\u2019s a song about new beginnings. Here Maggie sings: There\u2019s so much on my mind, I\u2019m just tryin to get it right\/Lost in all this information, the answers are so hard to find\/We\u2019ve made mistakes before, by closing open doors\/Can we just start over, Is it too late to start over?<\/em><\/p>\n

<\/div>\n

Time Moves On<\/em> is ethereal and expansive, with achingly gorgeous vocals, moody guitars, and playfully quirky keyboard touches.\u00a0 The album chronicles her move from Norman, Oklahoma to Los Angeles to further pursue her music career, and a new and empowered outlook on life based on being brave enough to seek out and embrace a centered existence.\u00a0 Time Moves On<\/em> follows a self-titled album, two EPs, and a handful of singles.<\/p>\n

McClure plans to tour in support of Time Moves On<\/em>, with an album release show set in Oklahoma City at the Will Rogers Theatre on February 21st, another album release show in her newly-adopted hometown of Los Angeles at Hotel Caf\u00e9 on March 15th, and shows in San Diego (LeStat\u2019s on February 28th) and San Francisco (Hotel Utah on March 9th).<\/p>\n

Her songs have appeared in the film Cowgirls N’ Angels,<\/em> and in such television shows as Dr. Phil<\/em>, The Real World<\/em>, Worst Prom Ever<\/em>, The Hills<\/em>, The City<\/em>, The Vineyard<\/em>, and The Young And The Restless<\/em>. As a performer, she\u2019s done a staggering 750+ shows across the United States\u2014on separate occasions opening for\u00a0Sara Bareilles and Tony Lucca.\u00a0 She sang the National Anthem at the\u00a0first NBA playoff game in Oklahoma history with more than 18,000 people in attendance.<\/p>\n

Additionally, McClure has been knocking on different doors of the entertainment business to further her music career.\u00a0 She\u00a0was a featured background extra on Matthew Morrison’s (Mr. Schu in Glee<\/em>) music video for \u201cIt Don’t Mean A Thing,\u201d and she is currently singing the role of Violetta on the English version of Disney Channel Latin America’s Violetta<\/em> that is airing in the UK and across the globe.<\/p>\n

A major factor of McClure\u2019s success has been her hardworking nature. She is completely independent, and assumes the roles of label, booking agent, and manager. \u201cI\u2019m a true believer that if you want something to happen, you have to make it happen.\u201d<\/p>\n
