They will take the stage in Burlington, VT on\u00a0September 13th\u00a0alongside Grace Potter &amp; The Nocturnals, among others.<\/p>\n<div><\/div>\n<p>Says Nelson:\u00a0 \u201cThere is nothing like sharing the stage with talented artists who are true originals. Sasha, Norah, and Catherine have a really special thing together; their voices and influences blend to form a very distinct, beautiful sound. We got the call to join them on tour right after we heard that we landed a spot on the GPN festival\u2014it was a pretty epic week.\u201d<\/p>\n<div><\/div>\n<p>Says Ritcher:\u00a0 \u201cThings have been really opening up for us, and right now, we are exactly where we want to be\u2014working hard, having fun, and making great music with our friends.\u201d<\/p>\n<div><\/div>\n<p>Dwight &amp; Nicole self-released their latest album,\u00a0<em>Shine On<\/em>, on April 22, 2014.\u00a0<em>Shine On<\/em>\u00a0puts some impressive talent on display:\u00a0 gorgeous vocals, developed songwriting skills, and masterful playing were all captured live at Boston\u2019s Rear Window Studio. \u00a0Press has praised the album, saying:<\/p>\n<div><\/div>\n<div>\n<ul>\n<li>\u201cDwight &amp; Nicole\u2019s new album \u2018Shine On\u2019 is just spectacular.\u201d &#8211; Steve Morse,\u00a0<em>Behind the Music<\/em><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<div>\n<ul>\n<li>\u201cOne might call it a hybrid of blues, folk, pop, rock, jazz and soul \u2014 and one would be right. But it\u2019s all soul music.\u201d &#8211;\u00a0<em>Boston Herald<\/em><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<div>\n<ul>\n<li>\u201c&#8230;their voices blend together and take wind as if they couldn\u2019t exist any other way. That union of styles and eagerness to play off each other\u2019s strengths is precisely what makes the duo so compelling and almost impossibly sweet.\u201d &#8211;\u00a0<em>Seven Days<\/em><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<div>\n<ul>\n<li>\u201c&#8230;the music on \u2018Shine On\u2019 is bright and sunny. \u00a0\u2018Smile\u2019 and \u2018Shine\u2019 aren\u2019t so much song titles as they are exhortations to be happy. Even the album\u2019s more subdued tunes (sung by both Ritcher and Nelson) have lyrics that search for the positive in a difficult world.\u00a0The music bounces from genre to genre, with pop ballads, jagged rock and vibrant reggae all vying for attention.\u201d &#8211;\u00a0<em>Burlington Free Press<\/em><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<p>Their performances have inspired comparisons to some of the greats \u2014 Etta James and John Lee Hooker, the Rolling Stones and the Staple Singers \u2014 but it is their own fresh blend of spirited blues, rock, and gospel that will land them a spot among the celebrated music makers. Following their critically acclaimed independent release,\u00a0<em>!Signs<\/em>, the\u00a0<em>Boston Globe<\/em>\u00a0called them, \u201ca tour de force.\u201d \u00a0They have garnered four\u00a0<em>Boston Phoenix<\/em>\u00a0award nominations, six Boston Music Award nominations and Nelson nabbed a BMA for \u201cFemale Vocalist of The Year.\u201d<\/p>\n<div><\/div>\n<p>In September of 2012, Nicole appeared on NBC\u2019s #1 hit show \u201cThe Voice,\u201d knocking out all four coaches and winning the hearts of millions with her rendition of Leonard Cohen&#8217;s \u201cHallelujah.\u201d The song was a hit of its own, rising to #24 on the iTunes Pop chart, and propelling a wave of nationwide appreciation for Nelson\u2019s home grown style.<\/p>\n<div><\/div>\n<p>Their music has already been featured on TV shows such as \u201cNikita\u201d on CW, \u201cThe Forgotten\u201d on ABC, \u201cMissing\u201d on Lifetime, and \u201cThe Cleaner\u201d on A&amp;E.\u00a0 Dwight &amp; Nicole starred in the documentary film \u201cWhere&#8217;s The Music At?\u201d They have performed live at countless world class venues and festivals around the world including Montreal Jazz Festival, Tanglewood, Life Is Good Festival, Symphony Hall, The Somerville Theatre, The Tennessee Theater, The Paradise, The Higher Ground, and The Blue Note in NYC.<\/p>\n<div><\/div>\n<p>Dwight &amp;
