Matthew Perryman Jones teams up with Nashville Ballet again<\/strong><\/p>\n

<\/strong>Additional tour Dates planned in Southeast and Midwest<\/strong><\/p>\n

Nashville-based singer-songwriter Matthew Perryman Jones is set to revisit his partnership with the Nashville Ballet in February when he and choreographer Gina Patterson return with their wildly popular ballet,\u00a0\u2026but the flowers have yet to come<\/em>, which premiered in the spring of 2013.\u00a0 This repeat performance will be part of a Valentine\u2019s Day weekend Nashville Ballet event entitled\u00a0Attitude<\/i>, which will take place at the TPAC\u2019s Polk Theater February 13-15.\u00a0 Jones and Patterson\u2019s performance will also feature Nashville-based visual artist Emily Leonard, who will paint a large-scale canvas live during the performance.\u00a0 Portions of the painting will be available for sale following the performance.<\/p>\n

\u201cAttitude\u00a0<\/i>is the perfect example of how we combine Nashville with ballet, by bringing together fine arts and the contemporary music that makes this Music City,\u201d Nashville Ballet\u2019s Artistic Director & CEO Paul Vasterling said. \u201cThis year\u2019s lineup adds another layer with the creation of visual art live on stage.\u201d<\/p>\n

Says Jones of the opportunity to perform the piece again:\u00a0 “Collaborating with Gina and the Nashville Ballet in 2013 was one of the most inspiring and rewarding experiences of my career. I can’t wait to do it all again.”<\/p>\n

In addition to the Nashville Ballet show, Jones plans a number of dates in March throughout the Southeast and Midwest (see tour schedule below).<\/p>\n

Matthew Perryman Jones has a voice that calls out with intensity, truth and emotion. As\u00a0American Songwriter<\/em>\u00a0describes, \u201cMatthew\u2019s voice ensnares listeners with a rare authenticity and gritty strength.\u201d\u00a0 He began his career in 1997 in Decatur, GA, then moved to Nashville to pursue music full-time.\u00a0 His first solo album,\u00a0Nowhere Else But Here<\/em>, was released in 2000, followed by\u00a0Throwing Punches In The Dark\u00a0<\/em>(2006),\u00a0Swallow The Sea<\/em>\u00a0(2008, which featured the break-out hit \u201cSave You\u201d),\u00a0Until the Dawn Appears\u00a0<\/em>(2011), and\u00a0Land Of The Living<\/em>\u00a0(2012).\u00a0\u00a0Performing Songwriter Magazine<\/em>\u00a0noted Jones as a talent that follows \u201cin the footsteps of Leonard Cohen and John Lennon.\u201d<\/p>\n

One of the most sought-after songwriters in Nashville, Jones built on his accomplishments with his 2013 single, \u201cAnymore Of This.\u201d\u00a0 The duet, written and recorded with Mindy Smith, was featured on ABC Family\u2019s \u201cSwitched At Birth\u201d and \u201cThe Lying Game\u201d as well as the ultra-popular series \u201cThe Vampire Diaries.\u201d\u00a0 Jones\u2019 songs have also been featured in the television shows\u00a0\u201cGrey\u2019s Anatomy,\u201d\u00a0\u201cPretty Little Liars,\u201d\u00a0\u201cBones,\u201d\u00a0\u201cPrivate Practice,\u201d\u00a0\u201cNY Med,\u201d\u00a0\u201cFlashpoint,\u201d\u00a0\u201cOne Tree Hill,\u201d\u00a0\u201cThe Hills\u201d\u00a0and\u00a0\u201cEli Stone,\u201d\u00a0as well as feature films\u00a0\u201cWhat To Expect When You\u2019re Expecting\u201d\u00a0and\u00a0\u201cSomething Borrowed.\u201d<\/p>\n
