HUMMING HOUSE ADDS FOUR DATES WITH

KACEY MUSGRAVES TO TOUR SCHEDULE

Band also set to tour with Drew Holcomb and The Neighbors (March/April)

New album Revelries due for March 24th release

Nashville quintet Humming House has just announced that they will be opening for Kacey Musgraves for a series of shows in TX, AZ, and CA (see tour schedule below).  The dates join a run already planned with Drew Holcomb and The Neighbors starting in March, as well as dates with Nora Jane Struthers and the Party Line, Parker Millsap, and labelmates Moonsville Collective.  Humming House will be touring to promote their forthcoming third album, Revelries, which is due out March 24th on Nashville label Rock Ridge Music (with distribution via ADA).  With interwoven threads of folk, soul, bluegrass and more, Humming House’s acoustic instrumentation – presenting mandolin, fiddle, acoustic guitar, and bass in fresh roles – flips between rousing energy and nuanced presentation, topped off by stunning vocal harmonies.

“We enjoyed meeting Kacey Musgraves and her band this year on the Cayamo Cruise,” says Humming House vocalist/percussionist Leslie Rodriguez.  “She’s a tremendous songwriter and performer and we are really excited to join her ‘Same Tour Different Trailer’ tour out West.”

As complete as they are in the studio and on record, Humming House is fundamentally a live band.  With scarcely a tube’s worth of amplification or electricity and a drum kit of percussion distributed among the band members, they emit force on stage and demand attention. They’ve rocked rooms of all sizes and played Forecastle Festival, Bristol’s Rhythm & Roots Festival, and they opened the new Music City Roots hall in The Factory in 2014, sharing the bill with Emmylou Harris and Rodney Crowell. Earlier in 2015, the band hit the road for several dates with St. Paul & The Broken Bones and played the Cayamo Cruise with the elite of Americana (including John Prine, Brandi Carlile, and Lyle Lovett).  Huffington Post urged, “Put Humming House on your list of Must-See Acts of 2015,” and named them one of the “peak musical performers of 2014.” American Songwriter called their music “infectious and grin-inducing.” Roughstock dubbed Humming House “darned close to perfect.”
